If you're reporting a wrong price or position, give us the town and the name of the station: those are the two things that let us find it again in the public data.
Frequently asked questions
The price I see isn't the one on the sign
Prices are the ones the operator reported to the Italian Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy, as the law requires. Every price shows the date it was reported: if a station hasn't reported for days, the app says so instead of hiding it. Reports older than thirty days do not enter the calculation.
Why does it suggest a station that isn't the cheapest?
Because the cheapest often doesn't pay. Six cents less per litre is about two and a half euros on a forty-litre fill: if getting there takes six kilometres and ten minutes, those two and a half euros are already gone. FuelPilot ranks by what stays in your pocket, not by the price on the sign.
A station I know is missing
Two possibilities. If the operator doesn't report prices, the station appears in no app at all, not even the Ministry's. Or the declared position hasn't been verified: in that case the station isn't offered as a destination, because sending you to the wrong place is worse than sending you nowhere. Tell us and we'll check.
The app can't find my location
It needs location permission: Settings → FuelPilot → Location → “While Using the App”. FuelPilot reads it while the app is open on the results, to keep the list current as you drive, and never in the background.
I'm an operator and my data is wrong
The registry and prices come from the public ministerial data: correcting them at the source corrects them everywhere, not just here. For services, opening hours or card acceptance — which the public data doesn't carry — write to us.
